Huge VAT to pay, unfair, help

Hi. I don't know what to do. I bought some cosmetics from South Korea to Ireland for  118,47usd. The tax was counted auto.atically.

And now I get a lettef from post office that custom value is 313,36 €(?) and that I have to pay 72,07 vat and 4,95 admin fee, total 77.02 € to paid. What to do? With this? Never seen anything like that. Is it impossible to buy from Korea with fair price anymore in this times?

Vat is something that is out of control of your seller or eBay.

That is between you and your country, the country charging the VAT.

It is a form of tax for importing items.

You might reach out to your taxing authority to find out how VAT is applied and at what levels you would not be responsible for paying VAT .

Good luck to you.
