How to delete old messages in trash folder?

How do I delete all the old messages in my message trash file?

There is no option to do this other than to store them in another folder or put them back in my in-box.

eBay handles the actual deletion of messages -- typically after about six months.

Just think of the trash as a handy place to store unwanted messages so you can organize your inbox.

Could you explain why you think so?  Maybe I'm missing something.  They're stored on eBay's file server, not yours; it doesn't take up any of your resources.  Why do you care?    

To the contrary, unless you can enlighten me to the otherwise, I believe that it's a very good business practice.  Retaining messages means that they'll be available in case something unexpected comes up in the future and the user – or eBay – needs them.

It is my email. If I want to delete it I should be able to.

It is not good business practice to let a customer put items in the trash to only find out eBay has decided to keep them.

I just enlightened you. If you think eBay should be keeping your products I can clearly see why you think that is good for businesses to do that. I did not know they were retaining my trash outside of my wishes. I wanted them disposed of and I suspect most customers do not know they are failing to dispose of emails the customer marked as moved to the trash.

@lunker12   You're welcome to read my postings, but if you don't want to, then go ahead and don't.  Here's my response to your "It is my email." ...  As my grandfather wisely used to say, "Whoever pays the fiddler, gets to call the tune."  In case you aren't accustomed to southern adages, it means that this web site belongs to eBay so they get to make the rules.
