How to cancel autopay

I recently won 4 lots from the same seller on the same day. It was auction style listings. Ebay immediately auto paid the seller without giving time to the seller to combine the 4 lots into a single invoice, this made me pay shipping charges 4 times. How do you guys avoid this ?

ebay is requiring auto-pay for Offers, and now for auctions.  Buyers cannot opt out of it, but sellers can opt out by going to 

https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements

When you plan to purchase multiple items from the same seller, let them know they can opt out of auto-pay, so combining purchases for a discount will be easier.
