How to automatically send a custom message to buyers?

The title says it all. Looking for a way to customize the automated message sent to buyers. If this isn't something Ebay offers, is there an app for this?

Are you trying to change the message that is included when you ship an item to your buyer?

Yes. I would like to customize the message sent when an item is bought from me, also I’d like an automatic message sent when an item has shipped, I just don’t want it to be the generic message EBay sends.

I've searched several places for Communication preferences, and it seems there is no way to add a personalized message.  Even though ebay automatically sends a message when the item ships, you can send your own message.  Some buyers don't like getting too many messages, so I stopped sending my own when I discovered that ebay does it for me.
