How much to Promote?

Hello. Hey, how much do you guys pay extra for promotion so that ebay does not basically hide the items you are selling from buyers? It’s ridiculous, they let China sell at prices we cannot even get close to due to material costs, taxes, shipping, etc. They watch ebay, and then produce their own version of an item, produce it in China, get USPS subsidized lower shipping, and wipe out American manufactures who sell small items on ebay. They come up with like 30+ ads for the same item with a slightly different view or small price difference. So how much extra does it cost so a buyer using ebay’s search engine can find my item?

I resisted using promoted listings, and finally decided to bite the bullet back in September 2022.  I promote at 3%

Well, did it make a dramatic difference in sales? Did it shorten the time it’s take to sell an item after you listed the item? Thanks!
