How do you remove followers on eBay?

Followers choose sellers. Sellers cannot remove followers.

A "follower" is just a user that has added the seller to that user's Saved Seller list. That is just one possible way to keep track of a seller's items for sale, but it is by no means the only way.

Each individual user controls who goes on that user's Saved Seller list.

You can control what sellers are on your own list, but you cannot control what other users do with their own lists.

So, the only way to remove them - would be to close my account ?  If I do that, is it possible to open a new account ?

Closing your account will not actually remove your username from another user's Saved Seller list.

If you create a new account and list the same items, anyone searching for those items may come across the new account.

Anyone that knows your username or who is able to identify particular items you have for sale can potentially find those items -- and thus your account, new or old -- and can therefore view your items or add your username to a Saved Seller list.

Yes, answer that question.  I'm sorta thinking there's one particular follower that you'd like to remove.

I am trying not to have any followers at all - I do not sell on eBay - I quit back in 2020 when eBay wanted me to update my account, I had to talk to them again sometime later because they were still charging me for a seller account, I finally got that matter straitened out sometime ago, I thought by now whoever was following me on eBay would have simply given up - however, I still have 3 followers and I have had a lot of trouble with my account (password problems), so I just prefer not to have any followers on eBay - therefore, would like them removed, if that's not possible at all, then is it possible to close my account and open a new one - I am not getting a straight answer about that from eBay either.

I am not a seller on eBay, or anywhere else for that matter, I have not sold on eBay since they wanted me to "update" my account info back in 2020, instead, I talked to an eBay rep and had the selling part removed from my account and have only used my account to purchase items.

What you are asking is, essentially: "How can I force an unknown user to remove my username from a list that only the unknown user has control over?"

Stated that way, the answer should be clear: you cannot.

If you are not a seller (or even if you are, for that matter) whether or not another user "follows" you or not is of absolutely no consequence to you whatsoever.

I wish I could help you, but, sorry, they can't be removed by the followee.  I just checked my own, and I have 28 followers.  Heaven knows why they follow me; I've never listed anything so I can't be their favorite seller.  Is this like when a star has a posse?  I'd like to be a star ... a Highway Star.

The only possible solution that I can think of is close my account and open a new one using a different eBay username, but I cannot get a clearcut answer from eBay as to whether or not this can be done
