How do I view a DVD that says it cannot play in this region?

How can I view a DVD of an Asian movie on my DVD player?    It says it cannot be played in this region.

There has to be a way of viewing it.  Why does it say that?

DVD’s are formatted for different regions around the world.  They can only be viewed with the dvd player that matches the format of the dvd itself.  You would have to find a player that matches the format of the dvd.

Different regions have different formats for their TVs and DVD.  The US is region ,I believe Asia is region 3.

You need a DVD player rated Region Zero, or they might call it Non-Region.  They aren't limited to playing a single region of DVD; they'll play any DVD.  I have one that I bought right here on eBay.  It was $79 but that was a long time ago so they're probably higher now.  Learn more at  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_code
