How do I get eBay customer service to call me

There used to be a path through the HELP section to get to "chat" or to request a call. Now I can't find it, and I've been having a problem with returning a defective item. Unfortunately, I opened a case then accidentally closed it before I'd even written an entire sentence. Now the system won't let me start a new or reopen the old case.  I had already communicated with the seller, but the seller didn't know how to handle it either and did nothing to help me find out. I DID talk to eBay more than a week ago (when the path to chat was still apparent). They said they would deal with the seller and get back in a few days. That either way my purchased was covered by eBay. I haven't even received an email in this regard. Can someone PLEASE HELP? The purchase was item number 353647426531.

Open a related Help topic page, scroll down to the bottom and click "Contact us"

In the chatbox that opens, type in AGENT, then press "Send" to bypass the bots and get the options to chat live or have an agent call you back.

It doesn't work that way anymore. When you click on the contact us it makes you go through all the screens to understand the need, then NEVER gives you the option of "Other" or contact agent or even a blank to fill in. If you try it your way now and it works, then I'm baffled.

lol -I keep running into users (like you) who are getting there a different way than I do - so my instructions don't always work, you're right 😄

Go to the bottom of this page on Returns for buyers

click Contact us

In the chatbox, you may have to click thru a few bot questions to get the reply box open to type AGENT, then press Send.

I just tried it and got the live agent options.
