How can you tell if an item has a reserve on it.

There is no longer a "Reserve met" display ANYWHERE  available to the public/bidders (at least not on the website, don't know about the apps).  There is not even a "Reserve not met"  on the Bid History Page.  If the Reserve was met by the latest bidder that can be deduced from the price/current bid being more than 1 bid increment over the underbidder's maximum (or the starting price if there is only the one bidder), but once someone else bids after that the information is gone (the Reserve amount does not display in "Show automatic bids" even though that was a "current bid" amount from the time that it was first met until the new bidder caused it to increase above that).

The Listing Page is the only place to see the Reserve Not Met display (maybe also on My eBay pages; I don't bid on Reserve listings and if I did there wouldn't be time after my bid to check before the end).

ETA:  It shows on search results ONLY once the auction ends Reserve Not Met.  Sellers are paying top dollar to get the click-throughs from the search result to their active auction listing that result from its not being shown on the active results.

@doxie96rule

If it has bids you will see "Reserve met" or "Reserve not met" after the current bidding amount if the listing has a reserve price.

Hi @doxie96rule

The auction would say either ‘Reserve met’ OR ‘Reserve not met’ when you look at the Bid History … IF the seller put a Reserve in it.
