How can I get paid for sold items without giving EBAY unfettered acces to my checking account?

I do not trust EBAY with unrestricted access to my checking account.  EBAY currently owes me around $900 and won't offer any solutions other than getting there hands on my bank account information.  They have done a really good job restricting access to any real people to resolve this.  (One other reason to NOT give them access to my checking account).  I really just want to get paid by any other means and be done selling on EBAY.

@fargoactioneer  There is no other way to get paid.  Many sellers open a checking account just for eBay sales.
