Help with Scam Purchase

I had ordered these yuto horigame matcha shoes from a seller than seems to be reputable. The entire listing had no sign of these being offbrand with official pictures and all. After purchasing, the seller told me these shoes are not authentic. However this is not the primary issue, I had ordered the shoes on May 10, the tracking number showed that the label had been created on may 12 and the carrier recieved the item. Ebay allowed me to open a request on June 11 and have them step in on June 18. As of June 18 I have not recieved the item and the seller is refusing to give me a refund. However, on June 18 the seller added a fake tracking number saying it had arrived on June 6 for.. a 40lb item. Clearly not a pair of shoes and is clearly a fake tracking number. I don't know what else to do and I cannot lose $200.

Here are some additional things you can do:

    • Contact the carrier to explain that you have been a victim of the "False Tracking" scam and that you'll need documentation proving exactly where the item was delivered.
    • After you receive the proof, Request a Call Back from eBay. Once again, you'll need to explain that you have been a victim of the "False Tracking" scam.
    • Ask the eBay agent to explain how you can send the documentation to eBay.
    • Here is the link to requesting a call back from eBay > Request a call back
    • If necessary, review the Policy & Procedure associated with your payment method. Contact them for assistance.
