I had absentmindedly relisted an item that I had tossed out after it not selling for a few months. A bidder put a bid in with a few hours left in the auction and I realized what I had done. I alerted bidder and followed the Cancel an Order procedure on my end (after the auction ended), and got a screen saying the listing was cancelled. However he also tried to cancel on his end and got a notice asking for payment. As of yet, he hasn't received notice of my cancellation from Ebay (I did send him screen caps), is there anything else I can do to make sure Ebay doesn't open an Unpaid case against him after 4 days?

@jet224 If you canceled the sale then it's done. The buyer may still a notice to pay but the system will not open a UPI case.
To make sure it doesn't if you have automatic UPI set up you can turn off the UPI assistant for now:
