Global Shipping

I am getting ready to list an antique serving tray with a porcelain insert.  I plan on packing it very good & double boxing it to assure it arrives safely.  My question is when using Global shipping,  I have heard they repack your item?  If this is the case, I am concerned they will not pack it the same as I sent it and the item will arrive broken.

Is it better to mail something fragile International Priority instead of Global Shipping?

Thank You

Global Shipping

Personally, I think it’s better to use GSP.  If they item arrives broken through the eBay international shipping, you’re responsible for refunding the buyer.  If it breaks after being shipped on by the GSP, they’re the ones responsible for refunding the buyer.

Also - personal experience here - if something goes wrong between the GSP and the buyer, you can get negative feedback removed.  I had shipped something well packaged to Russia, the GSP didn’t include the packaging materials, the item arrived damaged, and the buyer left me negative feedback.  eBay removed the negative feedback for me.
