Hey, eBay family hope everyone is safe and well 😁. I have a small concern and wanted to get a bit of insight from some expert sellers on this. In the store, we accept free returns in order to qualify for top-rated plus and attract more buyers. Our listings have measurements on not only the photos (with a ruler), but also stated in the item descriptions to ensure that the customer sees it and is sure it fits prior to purchasing. I totally get it, in an ideal world all buyers should measure themselves (or know their measurements) in order to prevent having to return for that specific reason, but we live in a different world lol. My question to you all is, how do you handle these types of requests when it is a buyer's mistake for not making sure prior to purchasing? Do you take the return and fully refund or do you provide a refund only on the item amount and not the shipping? As per an eBay agent, she stated as a seller we can accept the return and only refund the item and not the shipping cost since it was their mistake.
Kindly appreciate any feedback and guidance given!
Best regards,
B
