First time seller, refund help.

Somi have an item that needs to be refunded however it's my first sell. Currently it says the funds are on hold and won't be available till March 1. When I try to refund it asks for another payment method I already have my bank account attached. I try to refund anyway and it always fails. Will it try to pull from my bank the total amount then pay me the original money on hold? I'm confused

You will need to refund first, and then ebay will reimburse you when the hold is released.

So if I don't have the money refund amount in my bank will I have to wait until the funds are delayed to refund? Why can't they just give him his money back?
