I understood that if I opened an Ebay store that the Final Value Fee would be reduced. I signed up for the annual subscription at $4.95/month (the lowest store option). I am selling low priced sports cards on Ebay and the .30 Final Value Fee makes it difficult to turn a profit. Is my assumption correct that when I opened a store this fee would be reduced? Thank you!

The starter store does not get you lower final value fees. You have to go up to a basic store for lower fees. The $.30 transaction fee does not change - only the variable % is lower. On sports cards it is 12.35% instead of 13.25%.

Thank you so much for the help. I'm new at this and certainly have had success is selling some sports cards. This is not my primary income, but I am enjoying the process of selling on eBay. So if I may clarify, if I move up to the next level store, the .30 Final Value Fee that I incur on each sale will be reduced or eliminated? Of course, I'll then have to work the numbers to determine how many cards I have to sell a month to make it worth the higher end store.
Again, thank you for your time and help!!

No. Today you pay $.30 PLUS 13.25% of the total from the buyer. With a basic store you would pay $.30 PLUS 12.35% of the total from the buyer.
On a $3 sales you would save about $.03 with the lower rate. That will take a lot of sales to pay for store fee. But if you start selling a higher volume, or more expensive cards, it might be worthwhile.
