Are they really charging sellers on the tax they are charging buyers?

@stacjoh.xsfqxh8bn Fund processors always charge their fees on the TOTAL a buyer pays. PayPal did the same when they processed buyers payments, it wasn't as noticeable since PayPal only charged 2.9% on the total they processed. At that time eBay final value fees were separate.
Now with eBay Managed Payments the fees are charged on the total the buyer pays because eBay is the fund processor via their agent Adyen. Fees are charged on ( Item price + shipping+ sales tax) Some states do not charge sales tax on shipping.
