I was charged an additional $31 today from FedEx for a package that was delivered a month ago. I always round up to the next inch on all dimensions and roundup to the next pound. The item was a little odd in shape since it was shipped with a large bubble mailer, but my dimensions were accurate if not oversized. The order details page has not been updated to show the additional shipping charge, it's only visible through the payment tab. Has anybody else experienced this recently? Anyway to get documentation from FedEx or dispute the charge? The label was bought through eBay.
Thanks for any help or guidance.

Fedex shipping quotes are only an estimate. The final shipping costs include things like residential delivery fee, fuel surcharge... These are unknown amounts until after delivery.
There are numerous threads about Fedex price surprises.

It is also my understanding that all packages must be shipped in a cardboard box for Fed Ex. Since you shipped in a padded mailer, I suspect that is what caused the extra charge.

I suspect that you are right. I finally got some details from eBay and FedEx added an extra 5 lbs to the billable weight. Maybe that's their way of adding a handling charge for using a bubble mailer. eBay needs to make all of this much clearer and add in those options when purchasing labels if there's going to be a surcharge later on. I doubt that will ever happen though.
