Fake item but eBay has no method to report fraud! Why?

Item number:403300651675   is an obelisk made in resin (plastic) by a company called Vernese in 2001. The seller claims his family hand-made the obelisk and it is stone. An utter lie. Offering it for $242.59 (Was: Previous Price$327.83) which would be ok if it WAS hand-made out of stone with inscriptions. I have the same thing, exactly, and it is nice but it is not stone and not made by this seller's family. Seller is from Egypt. Why doesn't Ebay have a reporting system for dishonest ads? Very telling. No wonder I am on Etsy instead...

Re: Fake item but eBay has no method to report fraud! Why?

Every listing has a "Report item" link that can be used to alert eBay to policy violations or suspicions.

For situations where the policy violation is not obvious or apparent to observers with no specialized training or knowledge, you may be able to report the seller directly here:

That said, eBay is likely not in a position to validate or refute seller claims about the origin of an item in the seller's possession absent some evidence one way or the other.

Buyers that purchase a stone obelisk and receive a resin copy can pursue a money back guarantee claim against the seller to obtain a refund.

Online marketplace Etsy has come under fire over the last few months, as a significant number of products sold there have turned out to be fake.  ...  But after several reports from buyers, it has come to light that the platform has an authenticity problem. Most handmade and customized products are genuine, but unscrupulous sellers have tried to trick their way into profits.

Just saying.

ALWAYS be honest and exceedingly FAIR!
