End then relist or sell similar?

What is the difference between relisting and sell similar after ending the listing?

End then relist or sell similar?

Hi @possumpeddlar

Relisting an unsold AUCTION or BIN listing from the Unsold file creates a new Item number.

If you wait about 3 days to Relist either of those formats from the Unsold file they get the NEW listing notation in front of the Title on eBay.  That NEW notation lasts about 24 hours.

When you use Sell Similar it creates a duplicate brand new listing of the original.  It will get the NEW listing notation in front of the Title on eBay lasting about 24 hours.

Some Sellers suggest using the Sell Similar on older listings to create newer version in hopes the item will come up higher in search.

Relist will use the same item number.  If you use Sell Similar, the listing gets a new item number and will show up when buyers search using "Newly listed".
