Hello everyone? First time doing this… so bare with me, please. I recently, within the last month, had to file a report with ebay because my package went MIA. It made it all the way from the Montclair, New Jersey to Oakland, Ca “Distribution Center” and then just vanished. I called USPS and they told me there was absolutely no way to track package because I was given the incorrect number of digits by eBay…only 20 instead of 22. I then contacted eBay and opened a case…they couldn’t track the package either. Eventually I was able to get a full refund. However, that’s beside the point…because the Indian operator was unable to deviate from her script, so could not answer why it happened and what could be done to avoid it happening in the future. Well, the future is now here because I just made another eBay purchase and was provided yet another bad USPS tracking number. So potentially another MIA soon to come. I even reached out to the seller to let him know before he posted and he told me he had to use eBay’s shipping service. But that I shouldn’t worry because only 10 in a 1000 ever go missing? It hasn’t even been two weeks since the last screw up. I’ve been shopping and occasionally selling here for years now with a 100% rating…and this is the first time this has happened. It seems that every time eBay tries to “fix” or “improve” things it only gets worse, more convoluted, and less user friendly…especially on the selling end. The last time I was able to actually understand, navigate, and sell something was 2017…I tried last year and couldn’t figure what the hell was going on. Anyways…any and all help would be greatly appreciated , thanks!
I’d hate to stop shopping eBay because of their ongoing screw ups and incompetence, but I don’t need the extra headache nor stress having to file a missing package report every other week, you know?
