Ebay Sellers Using Same Pictures as Other Listings

Background:

I've been searching for a collector's edition video game (Nier Automata Black Box) from sellers in Japan.

I've attempted to purchase the game twice with both sellers canceling with the "Buyer asked to cancel the item(s) in this order" with personal messages stating the reason as 1. 'Warehouse could not locate the item,' and 2. 'DHL withheld the package, refused to ship.'

I'm not too experienced with Ebay sellers and I may be a bit trusting but these seem like legitimate reasons to cancel especially considering current global conditions.

Issue:

The main issue is that some listings for the 'Nier Automata Black Box' are using the same pictures as other listings or the same pictures with the background cut out.

Now this is confusing me as this is a fairly expensive purchase and I often ask listings that seem more legitimate (pictures not edited/reused) to provide more photos.

Can someone with more experience buying from Japanese sellers help guide me on how to proceed?

Is it just how Japanese sellers list their items or is this some foul play?

Re: Ebay Sellers Using Same Pictures as Other Listings

You are smart to ask for additional photos.

Often the seller doesn't have the item on hand and will use someone else's photo.  On ebay, if the item is in their catalog, there will often be a stock photo, which many sellers will use in their listings, which is fine because the item is NEW.  It is NOT okay to use those photos if the item is used/pre-owned as all the defects cannot be shown.
