Hello All,
I am troubled by an eBay buyer who purchased a book from me. In the listing eBay stated the delivery date as 2/8/2022. The book was mailed the day after it was purchased via Media Mail. Unfortunately, the USPS has not updated the tracking since it was received at my local post office. I have had this happen before and am reasonably sure tracking will show it at some location in the next couple of days. I have been unable to reassure the customer that the book will arrive (it's just going to take longer). They are angry and said the will file a non-delivery claim with Paypal on Tuesday.
Will they succeed in winning the claim if I have a valid tracking number?
Why does eBay (not the seller) promise delivery by a certain date? When items go via Media Mail eBay's promised delivery date is often not accurate and I have to deal with the fall out. This is the third time eBay has caused me problems with THEIR projected delivery date.

Having a valid tracking number isn't enough, it has to show it was delivered.
If there is no updates on the tracking, the buyer will win an INR case.
