I have been on eBay since the beginning (almost). I am up there every day. I have been collecting since 1952
(yes that accurate I was 12 then and am 86 now. I have written more than 500 books articles columns and websites about my specialty (cigar boxes 1762-1962). View people no anything factual about cigar boxes.
EBay listings tend to have wrong date wrong company irrelevant infoand failure to recognize important aspects of a box they might be selling . I send links to museum sites that can help sellers identify and list what they have accurately. EBay blocks me from sending someone a site that teaches how to date a cigar box accurately. Today I got blocked sending a link to the history of Old Virginia Cheroots, a common brand almost never listed accurately. Why does eBay prefer its sellers to wallow in ignorance rather than learn about what they are selling?

Thank you for offering your knowledge to sellers!
eBay messages doesn't allow any links, this is to prevent scam links.
You could say something like
On the Hank's Cigar Boxes page you'll find information about "brand" cigar boxes.
You just can't post the link, or provide a phone number, email, or other form of contact.
