E Bay Shipping SUCKS Big TIME

E bay shipping ,,What a collision of facts and Prices,,A total rip off ,for Consumer and Seller,,

some can offer UPS Ground Advantage  for $4.99 US,,Others are$ 12.00 US and Above ,Really,,then they offer to lower their sell price ,but Must have Built in profit or Scam price in the Exorbitant Shipping Price,, lowering Item price to Buyer to make it look Attractive ,they rake in Extra on Shipping,Or Ebay does,?? Its still Not Right Or Moral to do SO!!! Fess Up E-Bay,,Whats GOIN ON HERE???

The seller sets the shipping prices, but it is the buyer that makes the choice to purchase or not.

If the shipping is not acceptable to you, find a seller with a price that works.

Shipping is not cheap.  And eBay charges sellers about 14% on anything they charge.  So if a seller charges $10, they only get $8.60.  (just so that you know)

My average shipping cost per package is $6.00.

USPS Ground Advantage for $ 4.99 sounds like the Seller may be sharing their eBay Shipping discount for a lightweight item.  I see ridiculous USPS Ground advantage charges of at or over $ 6.50 for a 6 oz small box about 6 x 4 x 2 ... my cost is less but as @golfingaddict mentioned I pay an eBay fee on what the Buyer paid me to ship.  I think carriers are now making money hand over fist with shipping because they know they can all get away with it.  My sweet spot for a lot of packages is 2 lbs ... to ship that to the west coast Buyers see $ 15.70 to over $ 16.  My local customers see about half that cost.

And yes, some Sellers have a lower item price but make up some money on Shipping and Handling.  And please know that eBay advises Sellers that it is Shipping AND Handling and does not necessarily just include the paid postage amount.
