Buyer is returning shoes because it does not fit. Ebay accepted return as I have a 30-day return policy with buyer paying for return shipping. I see that the buyer has not yet started the return but it is well within the date it needs to be shipped back. My question is should I communicate with the buyer? Acknowledge the return request and that Ebay will refund her once I receive the shoes back?
Thanks so much for your advice!

There really is no need to contact the buyer. If they are going to return the item, they need to do it within the time frame stated.
I usually do not contact the buyer unless they specifically reach out to me.
Some buyers just need extra time to get the package to the carrier. Some even change their mind once they realize that they need to pay the return shipping.
Good luck to you.
