Delayed shipping

I am out of the country and unable to ship the item right away. I did send a message to the buyer to notify him. Is there anything else I should do?

@bahaayo0  You will have a late shipment defect on your account.  You must always ship within your stated handling time. 

 If you don't have someone at home that can help get the package out on time I'd try contacting the buyer. 

Explain to the buyer that you are a new seller and apologize that you didn't know about Time Away settings and how damaging not shipping on time is to your new account.   Ask if they will please request to cancel and that you will create a listing especially for them when you return.  You could offer a small discount for the inconvenience.

Whether you choose to allow sales or pause them, delivery dates won't be updated for:

• Second Chance Offers
• Auto-accepted offers
• Pending counter-offers
• Seller initiated offers accepted during Time Away
• Items with local pickup or in-store pickup as the shipping option
• Digital items
• Athletic shoes eligible for Authenticity Guarantee

You may want to change the shipping format or the handling times on these items while on time away.
