@wasta60 Contact your buyer and let them know what happened. Since the label was damaged and there's not an error on the buyers part I would recommend that you pay to ship the item again if the buyer still wants it.
I use plain printer paper and tape at the top, middle, and bottom with box tape. I just make sure not to tape over the whole bar code at the bottom. Never had an issue with my labels.
