Customizing my store

I created a store and went to customize it and it won't let me customize the billboard image without a subscription, so I went to pay for a subscription and when it asks for my store name, it says it's already in use (i know! by me!) 

How can I add the subscription using the store name I already chose?

You do not have a store subscription under this ID, so you can not use that store name.

Why do you want to pay for a store? Until you are selling more than about $3,000 per month, or listing more than about 330 item per month, there is little benefit to paying for a store.
