Curious, have a question as a seller

So I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere. So I had an item not received case, and I did everything right on my end. I shipped it out on time actually early. Updated tracking everything. Anyways the item never showed. It was the post office I guess in that state. So my question is I had to issue a refund. But is eBay gonna reimburse me? I’m out the money I’m out the product.  What happens now? I’m still new at selling on here.

You will need to file a lost item claim with USPS if the package was insured.
