HI!
I don't know where else to ask for help about this so, apologies if this is not the place.
Recently I purchased a set of 6 NKG iridium Spark Plugs and when tested, they result to be a very good fakes.
How do i know that they are fake? Because those spark plugs by the manufacturer's technical information available at it's website says that the internal resistor value must be aroung 5000 Ohm, and these spark plugs are are over the place! One of them even have more than 134000 Ohm of internal resistance!
Also the gap in the tip, that the manufacturer says explicitly in the packaging that you DONT NEED TO ADJUST BY ANY MEANS becaus you can break the tiny iridium electrode, was badly calibrated in every single one of them.
This is very serious because if you put fake spark plugs in an engine, specially in a performance engine, the spark plug will fail and pieces of the spark plug can fall into the cilinder and brak the piston head, or a valve seat, or something else, this is really a catastrophic failure!
I know also that part of the culpt its mine because they where very cheap compared to what you normally pay in a automotive parts store, but they seemed so legit.
What can I do to take actions against these sellers that try to sell counterfeit parts like this? Is there any way to alert eBay or something about it?
Thank you very much, and sorry for the long post.
