Hi, I purchased an 1894 (P) Morgan Silver Dollar on June the 3rd, 2021 from what shown to be a reputable seller,
100% Rating and Good Reviews (Lesson learned) I paid $2738.88 for the Morgan, $10.00 Shipping, $164.93 in Taxes for a Total of $2,913.81. I knew there were some fakes out then, but nothing like it is now! When I received the coin, I did the magnet, passed, the Ping Test, which it sounded like silver, weighed it on good scales, it showed 26.65, which I knew there was a +/- on the weight and maybe a little wear. So, I logged it and placed in an album, a couple months ago (how long I've been trying to resolve this) I took 3 Morgan's to a reputable Gold, Silver and Coin Dealer to sell, the owner tested them all on his Sigma Machine, the 2 we thought might be fake were good, the 1894 was a Counterfeit, he even said that it looked like the real deal just from viewing, but more test proved it Fake. I've tried reaching out to eBay and PayPal, but because of the 3 plus years, I keep hitting walls. Yes, I did try contacting the Seller, but no response, I even have his name and address from the packing slip, but can't find a phone number. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Sorry, but is is way too late for ebay or the payment processor to help you. However, if the seller is still on ebay and listing this item, you can use the Report button on the listing.

Unfortunately there can be no help through eBay or PayPal. eBay's money back guaranty is only for 30 days from receipt of the item. PayPal only covers items for 180 days from payment. All you could do is to go to court in the sellers jurisdiction and you would have to prove the seller knew that the coin was a fake.

As was posted you could take the seller to small claims court, which you can do locally as most all states now have reciprocal agreements with other states. You can do this whether the seller did or did not know the coin was fake, however you would have to prove that it was this particular seller that sold you the coin, which at this late date would be probably impossible to do.
