How do you convert the ESUS tracking that eBay provides to the 16 digit USPS number so the Post Office can find a package?

@maximumcoins. You can't convert the tracking number. You can use a special tool to check on the envelope. Unfortunately you can not file missing mail searches as this is metered mail. Here's the ESUS tracking tool https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking
The eBay Standard Envelope for select items $20 or under is a metered mail system. ONLY the sorting equipment can read the code.
There's no reason for you to take a loss if the tracking never shows delivery or if it's damaged in shipment then you file an insurance claim.
The most common reason for not having an envelope scanned is because it was not flexible enough to go through the sorting equipment and was considered non machinable. I know of a high volume card seller who said they put three sheets of white paper around the card in a plain white envelope to protect it while it goes through the sorting equipment then it stays flexible and is not damaged.

Thank you, I appreciate you time for the response. I actually just found how to convert the ESUS number to the 16 digit USPS number. Go to your order details, then click on the ESUS number and it takes you to the place you mention and shows the 16 digit number, unfortunately, there is no tracking on it. The problem I'm having is that they say it was delivered, and it is not in the box. eBay isn't going to refund my money because it shows delivered. The Post Office told me they can GPS the carrier's location when he scanned it delivered but only with their number. Since this is a repeated issue with hundreds of buyers and sellers, you would think eBay and the post Office could figure something out, beyond ridiculous. I wonder how the carrier's scanner can read it delivered or maybe it means it was delivered to the last sorting machine and not actually out for delivery yet?

@maximumcoins. Only the sorting equipment can read the tracking number.
It doesn't get a carrier scan at delivery like regular mail.
The delivered scan notification can occur a few days before it's actually delivered to the buyer. With the holiday mail there might be a bigger delay between scan and actual delivery.
The post office often gives incorrect information about how the tracking works on these metered mail envelopes. They cannot use GPS to show delivery location since it was scanned by the sorting equipment at the post office.
Hopefully it will arrive still.
