Changing reason for a return

Made mistake in filling for a return.  How do I change the reason for the return. Why?

Problem: item description wrong so item does not fit. On return checked item not fit rather than item not as described. Result: eBay wants me to pay return postage. How can I fix this?

if I cancel return it says I cannot return the item.

You will need to contact eBay to ask if they can change the reason for the return.

eBay cannot (will not) change the reason for a return nor can (will) they cancel a return and allow you to start anew. Am working with eBay to find solution.
