Categories for store

How do I move items in my store ?  The FAQ says to go to the sellers page and active listings, then Edit, and there's supposed to be a store categories option under the drop -down menu.  That option isn't there.  Where can I find it?  Or is this one of these times you have to do it on a desktop because they can't design it for mobile use? I do have it on the classic mode.

Re: Categories for store

Hi, thanks for response.  This was NOT done from the app.  I'm pretty sure I'm in the correct spot on the sellers HUB as I have gone over the FAQ, but the "store categories" option is simply not there under the "Edit" button found next to the listings and under the "action button".  There is a "Category" button also under the "Manage Active Listings" header, but the second the webpage fully loads this option disappears.  Is there possibly a setting I can change or customize that can show additional options under the header ( not the listings grid).  Sorry I'm being repetitive, I'm not sure how else to explain it.

Let me tag @mam98031   again and see if she can provide you some screen shots.  Since I don't have a store there's only so much I can do to assist with this.

@afonnes2014

I'm not going to be a lot of help to you, as I use a Desktop, not the mobile app.  But @comics-scifi-collectibles should be a great source of info for you.

Stores don't have anything to do with views.  They mislead you, sorry.  If you don't want to continue to spend the money for the store, don't.  But when you build your little business up to running about 300 listings regularly a month, I know you can do it, that is when it is time to consider the Basic Store.  While it doesn't help with views, there are other benefits that are great.

When you have selected the listings you want to change and then click the Edit button, you should come to a screen that looks like this.

Now check the box just above the list of items you want to change [select them].  Now go up to the Bulk Edit icon and click on the arrow to the right.  That will give you a menu.  Go down the menu and find the section for Item Categories.  Click on that and it will take you to a screen that looks like this.

You want the second section for Store Categories.  You have a option to change them.  Primary Category is your first choice on your listings.  You are allowed, at no additional cost, to have a second category on your listing in your Store [they cost if you do it as your categories on Ebay].

Re: Categories for store

🤦All this time I was skipping one step of clicking on "edit selected before I got to the screen I needed".  You would think the 5 eBay reps I talked to could have pointed that out to me.  Ok, thanks for the help, much appreciated!

You are VERY welcome.  It was a long time ago, but when I was learning how to use the Bulk Editor, I think I made the same mistake.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
