Hi there,
I recently sold an item and waiting for payment. On my eBay Selling Overview page it lists a message from that buyer from yesterday (same day he bought the item). I clicked the highlighted Reply button and I get this message.
"The question you are trying to answer is either invalid or older than 90 days. You cannot respond to questions older than 90 days" and I cannot read the message.
Does this mean the buyer retracted that message or something else? I'm just wondering why I can't read it.
Thank you

eBay is very glitchy - see if you can view the message from your My eBay > Messages folder instead:

There are no messages listed in My eBay>Messages>from members. I checked the other messages tabs and nothing there either. I only see messages from eBay telling me I have offers on items.

I tried to message the buyer and ask him to resend his message and it says he's "No Longer a Registered User".
Does this mean he pulled the rip cord and bailed on this transaction?

haha no it means eBay decided he doesn't belong on this site and they removed him - probably from trying to scam you. They go after new accounts with 0 feedback hoping to trick you into accepting fake payments.
That may have been what the message was about, and eBay caught it - they try to scam multiple accounts all at once hoping to hit once before eBay catches them.
What does your Sold item show now - that you can relist it?

Yes, the item says SOLD, but there's an option to relist it.

There is or isn't a relist option? Any message from eBay about your seller fees - you need a credit for those.
You may to cancel first - use "problem with buyer's address" as reason if they've been removed.
Be careful about "offers" also - you are going to be hit with one after the other fake offer unfortunately.
Do not give out your phone #, do not text with anyone, do not give out your PayPal email, do not agree to buy gift cards to add to the order, or ship to a different address.
Keep it all on ebay messages only.

Gotcha. I have a request in for someone from eBay to call me, so I'll see what they say.
Bummer though, not a very good experience for my very first sale. I'll keep plugging away.
Thanks for everything.

Sorry this happened, the only way to get around it is to use Buy It Now only, NO best offer option at all, no auction until you can build up feedback & experience. That way the listing stays active until a real buyer actually pays for it.
Need to use the Advanced/Business tool to get that option though, and that leaves you without offers.
