I just paid for an item I thought it was the correct one. But after paying I noticed the item is not the one I intended to buy. Now PayPal is saying they can’t cancel the transaction and eBay is saying is too late to cancel and to contact the seller to see what he can do.
is there any other way to cancel this operation?

If the seller will not/can not cancel the transaction at your request, there is nothing else that can be done.

No. A buyer cannot unilaterally cancel a transaction (or get eBay to do it). It is up to the seller. The seller must either take the action to cancel ("at buyer's request" or otherwise), or agree to a cancellation requested in the first hour (or when the seller creates a label or marks the item as shipped, whichever of the three is earliest), or let the 3 days s/he has to reject a cancellation request made in the first hour run out ONLY IF the buyer has not paid by that time.
