Cancel an order

The buyer wasn't aware it was pick up. IHis request for cancelation had me being charged $88 for fees?

@grabbaggumbo   As long as you didn't use optional listing upgrades and canceled as buyer requested or problem with buyers address you shouldn't be charged fees.

 

The refund amount that you owe to the buyer should be REDUCED by the fee amount that you owe.     

 

So if the total was 625 then fees would be around 85

 

The refund from YOUR back up payment method for selling costs should show something like this> 

 

625.00  ( item cost)

-$85 (eBay fees)

$540 (Your funds meaning the amount that comes from your back up funding source to refund the buyer)

 

You should see this breakdown in your account.   It's been awhile since I had did any refund.  I believe it will show on your transaction details page.   Click view order details next to the item>     https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord

 

Or the all transactions page> https://www.ebay.com/mes/transactionlist?sh=true

You have to cover the full refund, but then eBay will release the buyer’s payment and reverse the fees.

You have sold 1 item on this account in the last 90 days and it was for less than $ 40 ... was the sale you are talking about sold on a different account???
