I'm trying to change my checking account from an old account (that I had to shut down) to a new account. My bank (Fidelity Investments) is not on the list of options, so I'm adding manually. I supply routing and full account number, but the new account just won't add after going thru all the prompts. I get no error messages; it just returns me to the screen I started with and the new account does not appear.
I contacted customer service (a 30 minute ordeal) but they did not resolve the issue, claiming that my bank is not supported. Well, the old and new accounts are the same bank.
Any wisdom out there?

Did you scroll all the way down and select My bank is not listed, and then manually enter the routing number and checking account number?

Yes, many times. Both on my own and with customer service. It just doesn't "take". No error message. The new account just doesn't appear. Customer service claimed to have fixed it, that I need to wait a few days and try again, which I did. Still no go. Very frustrating.
I asked customer service if they could just add the new acct on their end. No.

The one time I switched from using my federal credit union checking account to my Bank of America checking account, I had to first verify the account number of my FCU before I could enter the BofA account number.

Yes, I was prompted to do that too, and I did, and I was just returned to page I started from. No error message. No new account.
