Can't Contact Buyer- defaults to message inbox instead

Why can't I now send a message to buyer about their purchase (Contact Buyer)? When I click it, it defaults and takes me to my message inbox every time.

Try using a different browser or a link on a different page.

If you are using a mobile browser, try using the eBay app or else request the desktop site version of the page with your mobile browser. Or try another browser entirely.

If you are already using a desktop browser, and trying to reply to a user message, try a different link such as this link to messages from members:

You can compose a new message using the Contact link on a user's profile or feedback page.

If all else fails, try reading your messages on ebay.ca instead of ebay.com.
