I MUST BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG, OTHERS ARE ONLY CHARGING  $3.00 TO SHIP A CARD, 

AND MY SHIPPING CHARGES ARE COMING UP  $7.00 - $8.00   ???    WHAT CAN I DO DIFFERENTLY

TO GET MY SHIPPING CHARGES DOWN TO  ONLY  $3.00  ??

If any of your items are under 16 ounces, you can ship "first class package" with tracking (no included insurance).

If your cards are under $20, you can select eBay Standard Envelope for under a dollar, with partial tracking and third-party insurance, but the envelope has some restrictions, like it must be letter class mail and able to bend around the rollers in the sorting equipment. So no thick or lumpy envelopes.
