Buying for the first time and getting the run around

I've been trying to order this alternator for my semi truck. The seller said he would call me and never did, I wanted to find a better/faster shipping method so my truck isn't losing more money than is necessary and the guy just gives up after I pay for the part. Not only does it put my truck down longer but now I have to find a different seller. Any tips or suggestions that can be offered for a first time buyer on eBay? This really leaves a bad feeling about buying from eBay ever again.

@pecof-9329

The shipping time is shown on all listings before you choose to purchase an item. If the shipping time does not meet your needs, don't purchase the item.

Ask questions before committing to buy. You agreed to the shipping terms on the listing.

The seller could have added a faster shipping option on the listing had you waited for an answer BEFORE buying.

Buying for the first time and getting the run around

I did ask questions. The guy was late on getting back to me, told me he would call me so I could work out all the details, but never did. I explained to him the importance of getting this quickly because I'm an independent owner/operator in the trucking industry and if my wheels ain't turning, then I ain't earning. Overall he didn't care about his customer needs, poor communication, no follow through on the phone call. It was just a bad experience

The seller was suppose to call me so we could work out the faster shipping, but failed to do so after I bought the item. There's alot of working parts here and I did my due diligence(so I thought). But overall poor communication skills, no help on getting faster shipping after he said we could do that. The seller knew the importance of it getting to me quickly as I'm an independent owner/operator in the trucking industry and he was the closest person with the right part. To me it was a first time bad experience. Especially since he knew my situation.

Yes, you give up and don't hit the buy button and you don't send the payment if you don't  get a new invoice with expedited shipping.

 If the seller accepts returns as their return policy you can return it at your expense and if the seller is top rated they can deduct up to 50% from your refund. So that's not good so maybe you can sell it at the truck stop.

Breaker breaker got a new alternator for a xxx truck for sale, come on!
