I am a new seller and have many buyers "offering" full price on" buy it now listings". My first experience was that they wanted to contact me outside of ebay and when I wouldn't, they didn't pay and ebay finally removed the listing. I had to wait 4 days to relist the item--manually.
I have 3 more offers just like this (people brand new to ebay) and wonder if I even have to respond to them. If they were really interested in buying, wouldn't they just "buy it now"?

Won't matter, scammers will try to contact you regardless since your are a new seller they hope to fool.

These were SCAMMERS setting you up to be SCAMMED.
For fixed price items, enable the "Immediate Payment Required" option, which will help ward off these scammers and leave the listing live for others to buy until someone actually pays for it.

Thank you. I found that out on the first day! People amaze me... So the best solution is to not list anything as "or best offer"?

Thank you very much for your help with this new process for me. I believe I will just not respond to these offers.

Yes, just ignore them, or if one becomes persistent, put them on your blocked list.
