I have a buyer that is claiming I didn’t package a card properly and it was damaged in shipping. I have a 99.8% positive feedback on over 2600 replies. I checked the buyers feedback and he has a history of claiming cards arrived damaged when he thinks he overpaid. He paid $349 for this card. This card was perfect when I shipped it and it was very well packaged. How do I deal with this?

Did the buyer file a Return Request stating item damaged/not as described?
If so, you will have to approve the request, provide a prepaid return shipping label and refund the buyer after you receive the returned item.

I don’t think you understand. This buyer has a history of claiming cards arrived damaged when he thinks he paid too much or found the same card for a lower price. He has multiple feedback from sellers stating exactly the same thing. I’m not going to give a refund unless eBay forces me to after they review all the facts.

If you wait until eBay "forces" you, you're taking the risk that they will refund the buyer in full and let them keep the card. You also won't get your fees credited back.
You can certainly report the buyer, eBay does keep track of buyer returns and misuse of the Money Back Guarantee, but that may not protect you - you need to make sure you don't lose/lose on this.

I don't think YOU understand. If the buyer files a Request and you do not cooperate, the buyer will ask Ebay to step in and they WILL take the refund from you and let the buyer keep the item, plus it will affect your seller performance rating. Plus buyer can leave negative feedback.

If the buyer files an INAD, that's all Ebay cares about and they won't review anything.
If you don't accept the return and provide return shipping, they could refund the buyer from your account and let them keep the card.

How do I actually speak to someone at eBay? I understand that I’m probably screwed on this but I at least would like to try to talk to someone before I refund this **bleep** bag. HELP!

I also offered to replace the card with another identical card and said I would encase the card in a magnetic holder to guarantee it arrives undamaged.

How much of the buyer's feedback left for you was true?
Did you actually threaten them and tell them to shut ___ ____ up?
You could have avoided this whole situation had you agreed to refund the buyer immediately after receipt of the returned item.

In no way whatsoever did I threaten the buyer. I said that I would let eBay deal with them and based on their history they should get kicked off eBay. This buyer has 3 similar instances in the past month alone and I counted 7 total. How does eBay let this person continue to screw sellers like this?
