Buyer received item but says it was not in package

How to handle, I packaged an order and included a small gift, buyer tells me he got the gift but item ordered was not in package.  He is being very weird about it and will not contact EBay, I know he got it, so do I ignore him or badger him to contact EBay, I have already asked him twice.

Let the buyer know s/he has to file a case with ebay.

I did as you suggested, told him he needed to open a case, I haven’t heard anything from him since.  I sent a message asking him to confirm he found the pendant, I’ve heard nothing!  Do I contact eBay or just leave it alone?

Leave the buyer alone.  If s/he does not file a case, you won't have to do anything.
