I am getting ready to ship an item for a buyer. This is a very large package. I noticed that some of the shipping methods are invalid when I tried to find best shipping method. I then noticed that the address is a CA address with a shiptohawaii code in it. Asked the buyer about it and was told it is a service that forwards when businesses don't ship out of continental US. which I don't.
I am already footing some of the shipping costs for this package, because ebay only charged the buyer for one shipping cost when she in fact ordered 2 items. And before you ask, no this item was not set up as a combined shipping item due to large size of box. And is clearly stated in the post NO COMBINED shipping.
So, back to this "service". Has anyone had any experience with this? I don't like it. I feel like they are circumventing my wishes and I'm afraid as a seller I may get charged for extra shipping costs. Can any one help me out here? Should I ask the seller for a state side address only?
