My buyer requested to cancel an item he purchased from me. He did things ass-backward, paid for an item and *then* asked questions about it. I was at work and couldn't answer him as quickly as he pleased, so he requested to cancel the order. I unfortunately did not respond to the cancellation quickly, as he confused me by asking questions about the item's condition after he requested to cancel. So I had to contact ebay to cancel manually. They sent me confirmation that they had refunded him. Now he is contacting me and saying he has not been refunded and telling me that I owe him. What can I do, or is it between him and eBay?

The cancel message eBay sends to buyers says refund will be in 3-5 days, but often it takes much longer for it to make it all the way back to the buyer's payment source.
If eBay confirms it was refunded, it was refunded.
The buyer can contact eBay for a transaction ID if they want to trace it.

He just wrote to me and said he contacted the bank (what he should have done first, IMHO), and said that ebay's payment was credited. Thank God and you!
