EBAY JUST told us that they banned my son (20 years old) account who sold and SHIPPED 2000dollars worth of his toys!
The email is received and no explanation listed on the email or the account so we called and same answer. No explanation will be given. They tell us they do not have to explain!
The account was showing 2000$ worth of sales (customers received their packages already) and now the money is gone showing 0 on his account and customer service won't help or link any bank account to his banned account newly created account.
He spent weeks selling his toys and they can just do that! take the money, not explain, not allow him to link his bank account to send it later. Just took it!
I am going online and I see other people with exactly the same complains. Is this a scam? Does anyone ever see their money back?
Can anyone help?

Hi @ventevh
Is your son's account the only account in the household? Has anyone from outside the family accessed their eBay accounts through the family Wi-Fi, computer, smart phone, etc? Are there two accounts being used on the same computer there?
Typically when someone signs up to Sell they have to supply their banking information, was that missed during the registration of the account? Sellers also have to supply their SSN.
The name on the eBay account has to match the name on the bank account identically in order for eBay to accept it.
New Sellers can have their money Held for up to 21 to 30 days ... are you sure the money isn't just on hold? This si where you would see that: Seller Hub | Your financial summary | eBay
The department at eBay that handles suspended accounts is the Trust and Safety Department ... use the Help & Contact link on the eBay page and there should be a path to request a call back from them BUT you can not speak for your son, HE will have to be the one to talk to them.

Why would Ebay tell a seller's parents that they 'banned" their son's account? Ebay does not share information about seller's account with other Ebay members.
Your son needed to link his bank account to his selling account prior to listing items for sale as would have been indicated when he was listing items.
Since you son is a adult, I would suggest HE can post here for advise and HE can contact Ebay.

No matter how many times you post about it, the answers will be the same.

First of all he cannot write since he doesn’t have an account anymore. Second of all. I didn’t get the email he did on his account, the day after his shipped the items and as far as the bank info he could not enter his bank account but tried multiple times. He sold and shipped as soon as possible and the next day he got banned.
Now I have a question, why wouldn’t he be able to give his bank information now since the items were received and paid for? it’s one thing to ban in account so we cannot sell or buy anything, but why wouldn’t the money come back to him?
Also, the money is not on hold but has completely disappeared and when he talks to representatives on the phone, they will not take any bank information so they don’t have anywhere to send the money to.
No one is also giving him a reason for the ban, so we don’t even know what happened for his account to be banned.
