I sold a card that said it would need to be authenticated prior to shipping to customer. But when I go to ship it it is being shipped directly to the customer. Is this normal?

Is the buyer's address a PO Box? That is the usual reason for an item to not go for authentication. The authenticators ship fedex, so they can not send to a OPO Box.

Yup! That’s it… his shipping address is a PO Box. Thank you for the info. Will this affect anything on my end?

Well, the buyer will be able to open a not as described return if he is not satisfied with the card.
You might want to exclude PO Boxes as a shipping location on future items that will have the authenticity guarantee.
