If a ring does not have the authenticity guarantee blue check mark, does anyone know if the ring would be covered under the authenticity guarantee? The value is $800.

If the blue Authenticity Guarantee check mark is not on the listing, that listing doesn't qualify for the Authenticity Guarantee program.

Why would an item NOT qualify for authentication guarantee? Can I request the service? It is for a Tiffany 18K gold ring with diamonds and is $800.

Neither a Buyer nor a Seller can request that eBay pay to authenticate a jewelry item.
Details on what qualifies can be found at
Https://www.ebay.com/authenticity-guarantee/jewelry.
Often times it's a matter of the Item Specifics. You could look at other listings like yours that are in that program for ideas.

Look here and you see several reasons: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Tiffany+18K+gold+ring++diamonds+&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p23...
Sellers are responsible that their offers are genuine and real.

< Why would an item NOT qualify for authentication guarantee?
I found this page: https://www.ebay.com/authenticity-guarantee/jewelry/disclaimer
By the way, GIA stands for Gemological Institute of America. I had to look it up ... now you don't have to.

This ring should qualify for the Authenticity Guarantee. I don't see any reason why it is not. Makes me wonder if it is authentic.

I'm not sure why the ring would not be acceptable for the authenticity guarantee. Others of the exact same have the authenticity guarantee and this meets all the qualifications.
